About Juneau Pets Grooming
We closed our retail pet store in July, 2007 to focus on our Pet Grooming business. Our grooming tub, dryers, play area, scissors, clippers, combs, brushes, and every other piece of equipment is new and state-of-the-art for your companion's comfort during their spa stay.
We offer professional dog, cat, and other pet grooming for SE Alaska using gentle touch techniques in our spa-like atmosphere. We're fully licensed and insured. We also trim bird / parrot wing feathers and toenails/talons.
Education / Qualifications: Dayna originally apprenticed under an established groomer in Juneau, Alaska in 2007. In 2008 Dayna continued her training with award-winning, world renown, Master Groomer Debi Hilley. In 2009 Dayna continued her education further by attending the following courses in Las Vegas, Nevada:

• Chemical: recognize ingredients in your liquid products that can help or hinder information covered.

• ADVANCED COAT CARE • Instructors: Dr. Micah Kohles and Chris Pawlosky
Dedicated to all things related to coat care. The essential parts of a well-finished groom: drying, brushing, carding, hand stripping, and advanced mat removal. Working all the way from root to tip, ultimately gaining a detailed understanding of the hair lifecycle. When the coat is everything and time is not a concern, this approach shows off your best work!
In addition to animal grooming, Dayna is experienced in parrot training and rescue and has studied animal intelligence, psychology, and behavior extensively. All animals at our facility benefit from positive reinforcement during their groom. Many clients have reported that their animals get excited as they pull into our driveway.
Completing thousands of grooms has given us the experience to do a great job every time. Investing in continuing education and state-of-the-art equipment really makes a difference that you, and your pet, will notice.
